Sweet Poppy Stencis - New products to 'die' for

Well it's time to get excited and make a date in your diaries, Sweet Poppy Stencils are going to be on Hochanda TV on Monday 5th March at 12 and 4pm where Lucy will be sharing lots of tips and techniques with you and bringing along lots of new 'must have' crafty stash.

Sweet Poppy Stencils have got a brand new selection of stencils and also have their newly released Buddy Dies which help to 3D the stencil images. I've been lucky enough to play with a selection of both and have had lots of fun making the above samples which I hope will give you a bit of inspiration. For further details of these products and much more why not pop over to Sweet Poppy Stencils for a browse.

First up is the rocking horse which is so beautiful and delicate, I used
Pale Pink Stencil Medium through the Rocking Horse Stencil and let it dry. Once dry I cut it out with the new Buddy Die - Rocking Horse which is so easy to line up and cuts like a dream. I cut a second rocking horse out in pale pink patterned card and stuck them together with a wedge at the base so that it rocks.

I actually made the next card for my Step Sons birthday which I inked Distress Oxides through the Biplane & Banner Stencil, once dry this was cut out with the Buddy Die - Biplane & Banner which was matted and layered on a Distress Oxides background. He really liked the card and I made another one as a sample for TV.

The next card is made using my all time favourite stencil and technique.  This has been made using the Foiling Technique which I blogged last year, I used Stencil Paste through the Mehndi Flower and once I had foiled it I cut it out using the Buddy Die - Mehndi Flower. This was then layered up with another flower to add extra dimension.

A close up of the dimension.

This card has been made inking through the Mehndi Flourish stencil with Picket Fence Distress ink and then colouring over the top with pencils.

This next card is made with a Distress Oxides background and using the new stencils Star Blossoms, Dancing Bells and Seed Heads. It's finished off with a Lavina Stamps fairy.

This next card is quite simple and made using the Buddy Die - Poinsettia only to show that you don't always have to use the matching stencil.

Clean and simple, very pretty.

Here is a material poppy made using the Budddy Die - Large Poppy and fixed together using brads. I was going to put a brooch back on it but they hadn't arrived before I posted my samples off for the TV show so I shall see about making another one. It shows how versatile the dies are though you don't have to be restricted to card.

This card has been made using the new stencil Mehndi Snowflake and the foiling technique.

This is using the lovely new stencil Mehndi Flourish which I have put stencil medium through and then sprinkled over the top with a variety of Sweet Poppy Satin Glitters.

Another clean and simple card using one element of the Seed Heads stencil, stencil medium over a Distress Inks background.

I love the simplicity of the following card, clean and simple with Lilac Pearl Stencil Medium through the new stencil Damask Flower. A small sentiment to finish it off.

This card has been made using the Poinsettia Buddy Die to cut out white card that has a pattern embossed in it. The glasses have been made using the Boozie Bubbles stencil and Boozie Bubbles - Buddy Die. Perfect for a Wedding or Anniversary.

Last but not least a Baby Boy card using Pale Blue Pearl Stencil Medium through the Rocking Horse Stencil and once dry it was cut out using the new Buddy Die - Rocking Horse. A small sentiment was added to finish it off.

If you get chance to join Lucy on Monday you won't be disappointed, 12 and 4pm on Sky 663, Freeview 85 or Freesat 817. I hope you enjoy the show and are feeling inspired.

Thanks for dropping by and feel free to leave me a comment. Hope to see you soon.
